SMBC
Sydney Missionary & Bible College (SMBC) is a theological college that prepares people for lives of leadership and service. But its old website made that community hard to step into, whether you were enquiring, enrolled or even on staff.
Challenge
The old site had everything SMBC needed—it just wasn’t easy to find. The challenge wasn’t simply to improve the design, but to rethink how people move through the site.
New students struggled to work out which course suited them. Current students couldn’t find lecture recordings. Staff were wrestling with an outdated back end.
SMBC needed a site that could confidently stand alongside Australia’s leading universities and colleges.
Solution
We built a new site in WordPress, a CMS robust enough to hold hours of video, detailed course information and hundreds of resources.
We structured the site around the students, making it easy for them to find what they need quickly. Study journeys guide students from enquiry to enrolment, while a dedicated resources hub brought all of SMBC’s articles, talks, podcasts and books into one organised system.
We ditched the corporate look and injected the energy back in, giving prospective students a real sense of college life at SMBC.
