Lifeline – DV Alert

Domestic and family violence is prevalent in Australia, yet rarely spoken about. DV Alert is here to change that — equipping frontline workers with the skills to recognise when someone is affected, respond with care, and refer them to the right support.

A sub-brand of Lifeline, DV Alert brought Beech on board to extend its brand assets and training collateral through illustration. Aligning it more closely to how domestic violence actually shows up today: present but not always visible.

DV Alert needed brand assets that could communicate sensitive themes where photography wasn’t always available or appropriate. Workshops are a safe space for frontline workers to learn, connect, build confidence to recognise and respond in crisis. Illustration offered a way to communicate these realities inclusively, with awareness of the nuances each circumstance can hold.

We partnered with a local illustrator to create a set of assets that could be used across DV Alert’s training materials and workshops — offering a refreshed look that stays consistent with the rest of their brand. The illustrations were designed to reflect the diversity of domestic and family violence, without drawing on stereotypes or assumptions about who it affects.

The outcome: visuals that empower frontline workers to recognise the signs of domestic and family violence and take informed action.
