Astelier
The founders of Astelier came to us with a vision for a children’s centre that inspires wonder and curiosity — not just preparing children for school, but for life.
With plans to roll out a series of brand-new centres across the Maitland-Newcastle region, they needed a brand that could stand out in a crowded market and mean something to the parents choosing it.

Challenge
Early childhood education is a saturated space, and most of it looks the same. To cut through, Astelier needed a brand that felt genuinely different, not just louder.
The challenge wasn’t just a name and a logo. It was building an identity strong enough to carry through every centre they’d open next, and distinctive enough to stick in the minds of busy parents comparing their options.

Solution
We built Astelier around a simple idea: learning is a joyful adventure. The name itself echoes atelier, which translates to high-quality, hand-crafted, specialised work — a nod to the standard of excellence that sets them apart. A paintbrush mark above the “A” captures creative energy and artistic expression, paired with a traditional-inspired supporting font that brings trust to the personality.
The colour palette is fun but sophisticated, with a pared-back version for more formal applications. Supporting elements, drawn from the work of Matisse, bring playfulness and energy throughout the brand.
The result is a brand that’s fun enough to delight children, and refined enough for their parents.
